13 additional Rainforest Sites of Significance to be protected.

In November 2009, the Victorian State has put legislation before Parliament to protect an additional 45,000 ha of forest in East Gippsland.

This includes improved protection for 13 Rainforest Sites of Significance(RSOS) which will be added to the East Gippsland National Park reserve system (five National, three State and five Regional rainforest sites of significance).
